Well I think I found the Hydraulic strainer on my B2620. It is actually on the right side next to the hydraulic filter, bolt head facing down. Looks to be in front of an inlet or outlet hose. No mention of the darn thing in the manual. Since I already changed my fluid and got all bent out of shape about it, with industry wide proclamations:eek:, I am a little leery of removing and cleaning it now. Has anyone done this and do you loose much fluid? Thanks

bstrom,

On my BX the strainer is horizontal, not sure about your B. I suspect you will lose all the fluid as the strainer is in the bottom of the trans. Unless you could plug the hole quickly? Rubber stopper or something. In any case, good luck.

Matt.

I'd leave it at this point and catch it next time around. It's not like it's gonna clog or something and if it caught stuff it will stay caught. You know it will be clean if you take it out.

Yeah, I will probably do that, especially if it won't clog or anything. I'm not ready for another 4 to 5 gallon mess. I don't know for sure if it is the screen but it sure looks like it could be.
