jim timber, why are so nasty, this was a thread to inform other people that might have problems spooling the wire in most any kind of mig welder, not to have everybody that reads this thread to show what an ***** you are.

The quoted text of the first line in my post is what the binary code /pine wrote says. Maybe I should've moved it into the quote box for clarity.

I don't care how much of your welder you disassemble to get the wire in, I just don't see the need or the point. :) I also made a valid argument against the practice. Do what you want.
