I have a Bolen riding mower and can't get the blades off. I tried PB Blaster and a pipe on 1/2"ratchet, no luck. I tried heating the nut with propane torch, no luck. I finally borrowed father in-law's impact wrench, still no luck. Any ideas.

:welcome:

Looking down at the top of the deck, are the blades turning clockwise (throwing cut grass to the right) or counterclockwise (throwing cut grass to the left) ??

Clockwise

It won't hurt to try the other direction. I think you can loosen them by cranking in the direction that the blade won't cut your knuckle if you slip with the wrench..

i had that prob once i used a big pipewrench then i hit the wrench with a big hammer, i jamed the blade with a piece of wood and managed to get it loose.
