As for scrap remember, they do replace those interstate road signs when they start to fade. They end up at the scrap yard. They are pnice thick aluminum plate around 1/8” thick. I used a piece of one to span a rotten spot in my Bayliners flooring years back. I can’t remember what I paid got it but it wasn’t much. It would be ideal for a small canopy like this.
