I looked at those as well...the Trojan 6V T105 model seems to run around $125 each...so $500 plus tax, or shipping. Other brands mostly ran around $200+, but I didn't spend a ton of time researching them.

I figured that if the 12V marine batteries don't give enough run time, I can put one in my tractor (no idea how old the battery is) and one in my dozer, and then go with four 6V batteries in the lift.

Sounds like a deal. Recently I built a house for my son. The garage guy left his lift there for three months, that thing saved me a bunch of time.

That's an even better deal...free!

I feel like a dummy for having spent a bunch of time hanging insulation between the trusses, and running romex for lights, etc....my legs were getting worn out going up and down the ladder. I should have asked my neighbor about his lift before I started because I knew he had it stashed in his barn....live and learn.

It's amazing what half an hour with a wire wheel will do!

When you finish, you could mount the entire lift mechanism on a 3 point hitch, add some stabilizers, and go trim some trees.
