You are right- the booklet even states that, in fact. Not a problem for me, since I will just use it for trips to the transfer station and Home Depot, etc. and not the interstate.

lot of the guy in the BMW club use those to tow behind there track cars. Run street tires to the track. On the trailer is 4-6 track tires tool box popup tent, cooler etc.
