bubenberg: I take it by your "crabbing" that you are running towards the downslope only when the plow is pushing snow, otherwise it does OK?

Right. And it takes very little slope if pushing a big load to get it all askew.

I've seen the same thing in my yard. Are you using turf tires as I am?

No, I have the bar tires. And when they're worn I'll probably go with the turf tires as you recommend. Are the turf tires equally crabby?

This is MossRoad, not Hans /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

But, my turfs work well on the flat pavement, but do crab when pushing on the side slopes.

If I ever manage to get this thing really and truly stuck there won't be much more than the ROPS sticking out of the ground!

Been there, done that, cut the tree.....

Maybe I'll mount a chainsaw holster on my new rear platform. Can't be too prepared, ya know.

...and back into the tree, crush the chainsaw, and then...

thanks to Charlies waste resources i was able to find the best buy at:

http://www.baileynet.com/

the cylinder is 2 inches in diameter, and has a 12 inch stroke, which is more than enough for about $62.00 plus shipping.

if for any reason you have to call them the number is 1-800-800-1810. they were very helpful.

after 3 hours of getting mad at the saber saw i had all the materiel ( the running surface of a large truck tire, nylon type) to install my 64" rubber lip of my CHEAP SNOW PLOW. for the original part of the Bolton snow plow we removed the metal edge and drilled holes through the existing holes and rubber tire. Due to lack of flat iron. we took large washers to secure the tow 21" added wing portions rubber lip.

pt is not out of line with there $200.00 for there rubber lip kit, that is what the Myers plow dealer around here charges.

in other words i saved that much today, if i am not counting my labor, wear and tear on the saber saw. we have another snow (storm) coming in the AM. so i will have to go out and move the blade manually, because the hydraulic 2" piston has not made it to my door and therefore i was not able to buy the proper length of hose either.

we will have an update of the combat experience of the CHEAP SNOW PLOW tomorrow after the properties have been cleaned.

wish me luck, i still will take my 10 cubic yard bucket with me, just in case.
