You don't need to build "fake" cylinders. Surplus Center lists all the dimensions for each cyl they sell. You'll find that the hydraulics is by far the most expensive part of the project, excepting your time of course. Hoses, quick connects, adapters, fittings, joystick, and in your case a pump. Just off the top of my head I'd say $700 for decent hydraulics.

I have a pump system i want for $375but i could Jew them down some maybe.

Allot of the hoses are with that so I'm thinking $100-150for hoses. But this is why i posted this looking for cylinders for pricing things out.

Here is something you have to consider. You said 500lbs tops which I assume is your max load, right? I think that's about 300lbs too much, but assuming you do it, a 1.75" cylinder will be more than adequate for that. The bigger the cylinders the more pump you're going to need or else the thing will be slow as Christmas. Also look at how the ports are mounted because you do not want to have to deal with a bunch of right-angle fittings. Don't forget a reservoir and filter. I would try to find 1.5" or 1.75" cylinders for your project. You'll find clearances are going to be critical if you want to maintain ease of service on the engine.

About the second or third time but this is what i am trying to get

It looks like it's completely set up

Yes I saw that. What's the GPM @ 2000 psi? I have all of the diagrams I made in AutoCAD stored on the shop computer- which I am not near at the moment. This one is converted to Jpeg. If there was enough interest here I could post the entire pictorial thread along with the CAD drawings.

Surplus center is my go to for cylinders and hydraulic components! They are usually pretty helpful on the phone too.

Here are surplus loader cyls. And just a note: the 1 3/4" bore are used up to about the 30 HP tractors then it's 2" bore up maybe 50HP tractors. If you are just looking at cost then go long on your guessing.
4 cyls at 100.00 each, now I know you are saying to yourself, I can them at 80.00. So now you have 400.00 in cyls, 375.00 for the pump you want, you would be real lucky if could even use the hose that comes with that pump, Now lets add another 100.00 for hose just be on the safe side. Next you have the steel ???? for loader boom, steel for the bucket ?????. So now you have 855.00 with 2 big ??.That pump you are looking at is a good one, I think it put out around 2200psi if I remember right. It well be slow for a loader.

When I did my loader I did it just for the love of making things.
Surplus Center Look at the bore of these cyls and they go way up there for the bigger tractors.

Can you make a little drawing of the loader you have in mine?
