\"Cheapest\" with cir conditioning

Hi all, I will be posting this on the other tractor boards as well, as I am just getting my feet wet here and looking for some newbie info. Does anyone know the "Cheapest" or "Lowest" tractor (4x4) that Kubota makes which can be equipped with Air Conditioning and Heat for full-season use? I am going to "Empire Farm Days" on Wednesday so I may find out more there, but I wanted to have some information "in hand" already before I go. Thanks! mike@slavis.com

Mike, I believe it's available on all the Grand L Ten Series tractors. You can read more about it at http://www.kubota.com (wish I had one/w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif).

Bird, Thanks, I checked it out and you're right. This looks like it might be a good option for me. I wonder how much a Grand L Ten would cost compared to the New Holland TND55...I guess this is what research is all about, eh? Thanks again!

Mike, since the Grand L Ten Series starts with the L3010 (smaller than the TND55), I would assume you could buy one of the L series tractors w/air cheaper than a New Holland if they don't have cabs and air that small (and of course, I think, but don't know for sure, that you can get it in as small a tractor as the L3010).

Bird, it looks like the Kubota would most likely be cheaper, but (of course) I'm also looking at other factors other than cost, although cost is the "biggie". The thing that has me worried about the Kubota right now is that it says: "These unique cab tractors are designed and built by Kubota. They provide maximum operating comfort and year around environmental control. Dual level heat and air conditioning provide a zone of operator comfort. The dual level A/C system provides a 4 ~ 8 degree temperature differential for cooler air to the upper body while supplying warmer air to the lower cab and feet area. Fresh air is filtered for continuous ventilation." I don't get this, are they saying that the A/C only drops the cab temperature 4-8 degrees, or are they saying that they blow "Super-cool" air to the upper body? At any rate, these are the kinds of questions I'm planning on asking the reps at the Empire State Farm Days tomorrow, so hopefully I'll get a better feel there.

Also, it does look like it would be available on the L3010.

Certainly not saying it will only drop the interior temperature that much; that wouldn't be worth fooling with./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif Just that the air blowing on your feet will be 4 to 8 degrees better than that blowing in your face.

Bird, thanks again, I just called a local dealer to make sure and he verified everything so far except he mentioned to me that the cab with A/C was only available on the L3710 or higher. I had him attach a price to a 4x4 L3710 with HST and cab and he quoted me $26,900.

At least I'm getting a bigger picture of what's available and what it's going to cost. I configured out a John Deere 5320 from their website and it tipped the "scales" at $37,500. Ouch! At least I know I can at least save money by going with the Kubota!
