Well, as I said in my very first post, I was shooting for something in the 12k dollar range, 25-30 hp, and without a loader. Well, thanks to everyone here, I decided on a loader. But that put me over budget. (my wife and I initially discussed and agreed on nothing over 12k dollars). WELL, I read all of the helpful replies that you all left me and decided to just let her read for herself what everyone said. It WORKED!! She read every single post that everyone wrote for me, and this is the result: My initial tractor was going to be a TC24D without a loader, manual transmission. NOW, next week we are ordering a TC29D, Hydro, FEL (New Holland brand), and a Finishing Mower. She was very impressed about what everyone said, and it made it easy to talk her into the extra 6k. Again, THANKS... im going to be in tractor heaven!!!! I will submit pics when it arrives.
Also, if anyone can maybe give me a good price to shoot for, please do. I live in Southern Illinois. Again, TC29D, 2003 model, New Holland FEL, 60" Finishing mower, and hydro.
Im hoping for around 16,500. Hope im close. Thanks!

I'll ask what everyone else here is wondering.

Married TBN'ers: Can you get her to talk to MY wife?

Single TBN'ers: Does she have a sister? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Congrats, You won't be sorry.

I thought I was the only one with a wife that understood the tractor fetish. She actually rode around with me for two days to every tractor dealer in 5 counties in 2 states trying to decide which tractor WE /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif wanted.

You and She will love operating the Hydro. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

As for the price. That sounds about right. Search this board and you should be able to come up with a shoot for price.

Some women are as bad as men when it comes to tractors. When my dad went shopping for another small russian/korean tractor he took flack for it. Mom didn't like the Belarus after running it just once. Ended up with a much more expensive Kubota. For some reason only Kubota would do, dad wanted a deer. I, being a Kubota man recommended a L3830 but that was too small for her.. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

They ended up with my favorite small tractor the L4330. I guess I took after my mom when it comes to tractors.

Typhoon,

Well done!! Your wife sounds like a no nonsense lady. The folks out here love to spend others money /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. You will not regret the move though - your back will thank you time and time again.

That's a great tractor that you are purchasing as well. good luck. Get some pictures out here as soon as you get it. Good luck

My wife is BEST!

Not only did she LOVE my surprise trip on our TWENTY-FIFTH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY, which was to go
test drive a new Kubota, she drove it about 6 inches forward and backward, then pronounced it GOOD!

My BX2200 package is on it's way next week to my house!

Now you gotta understand, last fall, in anticipation of our 25th, I conspired with my kids and bought her a red
2002 Sebring Convertible. Surprised her with it and she's been happy ever since. Even tolerates my
"condition" that I don't have to buy her ANYTHING ELSE until the car is paid for, which if five years. She's
thrilled with it.

And I've mentioned to guys at work, that with that car, I can mess up just with just about anything short of adultery
and I'm off the hook. It's like having money in the bank (only there ain't any in the real bank!).

Hope I can keep this fine woman for another 25-40 years! It's been fun!

Sounds like u got a really nice unit, the only thing wrong with a wife that is so understanding about tractors is that she may decide to use up some of YOUR SEAT TIME while u do the laundry. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

David,

Nope, I guess there's a few of us around. Once my wife realized that I was serious about getting a tractor, she not only encouraged me and went along on some of the "scouting" trips, but she also set up a special savings account we call the Tractor/Quilt Machine account. Yup, we're saving for one of those too! BUT, she said I get the tractor before she gets the quilt machine!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

TD - Sssshhhhh! Don't tell him that! He might figure out that we get a commission on every tractor sold through TBN!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
