OK, dumb question..........checking the Hydro fluid level, should it be done with the tractor running or off? Sorry but had to ask.

I check mine with it off! Park it on a level area. Turn it off. Clean around dipstick with a wet paper towel so no dirt falls in while checking it. Pull out dipstick and wipe clean. Insert all the way and pull it back out. Since the fluid is very clear it can be difficult to read but by holding it up where light is reflected off the side of the dipstick you can see where the oil level is.

My manual (BX2360) also says to lower the implement before checking the fluid as well.
Interesting. I guess the 3ph would take some fluid out, but something like the FEL has power down as well as up so it wouldn't make a difference at all.

Thanks all checked it again today, not sure how I was checking it all this time but I had about 18 oz too much, turkey baster did great job, hope I didn't do any damage (changed hydro at 50 hours, has 105 now). Another question how discolored should the hydro fluid get after 50 hours of use, what I suctioned out was clear but darker in color not a lot but def. darker.
