Folks, thanks for all the replies. The machine will be coming on a liftgate truck, and the truck driver will put it in my garage. I only need to lift it enough to clear the ground so I can move it about 100 feet across level yard to the basement access hatch.
Unfortunately, I cannot use the 3 pt hitch as I have a backhoe mounted on the back (which also is my ballast, possibly with some rocks in the BH bucket for extra weight if needed, and no, I can't even begin to contemplate removing the BH). The weight of the jointer itself is a bit less at 884 lbs than the 1056 lbs shipping weight. So I am hoping if I remove some of the shipping materials, and the jointer fence which is not attached as yet, I can get the weight down to a range within the capacity of my tractor
Here is a link to see the tool if anyone is curious :

I'll post how things turn out.

Backup plan, well, there's the idea of the rollers (and, yes, I plan to have one of the kids taking pictures). Also, I just got a very kind offer by a fellow TBN-er who lives nearby to try to come over with his much bigger tractor, so that might be plan B. So far, that's the best I've got....
