From the complete picture it looks like the pickup was stopped behind another truck and the semi failed to stop.

Rather or not the outcome would be much different I don’t know but there’s quite a bit of difference in the frames.

Getting rammed between 2 semis isn’t the best test for a passenger vehicle. That’s kinda like testing bullet proof vest with a 20mm. A 2500 truck would definitely have a better chance most of the time vs a smaller car.

Hopefully if I saw a tractor trailer in rearview mirror coming at me at 60 mph while I was stopped I would floor it steering right over into the median. Probably wishful thinking though.

Actualy that British guy that wrecks stuff (Jeromy???) had a Smart car hit a concrete barrier and despite him having no love for that car, he seemed quite impressed that the door still opened like new!
