Ya NOT A BIT of respect for Obama getting Bin Laden.

Any Intelligent person on the planet knows the real truth. You will note in the time line how people that beat up Bush for 8 years all of a sudden want to take credit for what Bush did. Don'tcha love how liberals like to rewrite history.

Here are that facts which always drives a liberal nuts:

Bush, increased the budget for the Navy Seals, Increased the budget for the Military, ( you know those things called drones ), Bush opened Gitmo, Filled Gitmo with ( you know who ), Bush spent money to train the Seals ( for one and only one mission ), Bush sent troops in after 9/11, Against popular vote Bush sent in MORE troops, against the popular vote Kept Gitmo open, Captured the bad guys, Interrogated the bad guys, Got usable intelligence UNDER BUSH'S WATCH, created the capture task force, captured the Courier and got usable intelligence.

All Obama did after coming off the Golf course was give the GO signal after coming off the Golf Course on that Sunday...BRAVO.

Again NO RESPECT.

Thank You President Bush, I salute you sir. Mission Accomplished.

I've run into the same problem with rebates... most of the ones I was interested required approved contractor installation...

HVAC, windows, solar, insulation, water heater...

About the only ones a home owner could do was caulk and weatherstrip, low flow shower head, CFL light bulbs...

I'm inclined to believe this story.

Guantanamo sentences lighter than expected, so far - Houston Chronicle
Of nearly twothousand people that have come and gone with no charges at Guantanamo it comes down about 170 people left and only 35 will be tried.

I'm not going to address everything you mentioned. Very few of the people in Gitmo were found guilty of anything, even after they were tortured. If you read any real news you will find that Cheney is the only person that believes what he did was right. Bush was Cheneys puppet.

No one was tortured, that is clear. Water boarding is not torture, and could still be used today. There is a military definition of torture and water boarding doesn't met the definition.

When a manufacturer takes a job out of the country and imports the product back into this country we all lose.
The manufacturer has a product built somewhere else. And the people in that country can't afford the product. He brings the products back into this country and trys to sell it to people with no money because they are out of work.
The people building the product pay no U.S. taxes. The people out of work in this country pay no taxes, and they can't buy that product from the manufacturer that doe's pay taxes.
The people out of work are being subsidized by the Government either by drawing Unemployment or other government programs.
The illegal immigrant from the country that made the product and working for less wages here is not paying taxes. And he is sending money back home and not spending the money here on a product from a manufacturer that doe's pay taxes.
If someone else is not paying the taxes that means you are paying more. That is a direct subsidy out of your pocket because that manufacturer took jobs out of the country.
The point is. A product should be made where the larger market demand is.
You would be hardpressed to find any Vehicle made entirely from material made in the U.S.
We are not the only consumers in the world, but we do consume more than anyone else.




The statements were a generalization of what happens. But if somebody is not paying their share of taxes for privilages or benefits that is the same as a subsidy received by them. And you are helping pay for the subsidy by paying your taxes. In the case of GM that company is getting money to develop new technology to eventually benefit all (in theory and in past practice). In the individual case no one gets the benefit except the person not paying his tax.

OK, here we go with the liberal BS about "fair share" of taxes again. Why does the "fair share " idea always come up from liberals in reference to someone who has a business or earns a salary and takes deductions allowed under the tax code but is never applied to all the dead bets who don't pay any taxes at all?

If you want to give anyone credit, how 'bout President Bush? Most of their training and funding occurred under his watch. Zippy blames him for everything, why not give him some credit for the U.S. military? He could honestly say, "when I took office, I had no idea how GREAT it was."

The Chevy Volt is in production via fiat of Obama. Would have been cancelled long ago by a privatly owned company. The company is owned by the US. Discussing this is not politics, no one has mentioned a political party or asked you to vote a certain way or for a person. Not sure you understand what politics means. Discussing actions by the President of the USA is not political.
