Perhaps a B7800 would work? Should be just like your B2400 only with more power (not sure if it's enough more- any more and then you start jumping up in weight, though the B3350 looks good there, but it's fairly new, and, a bit more $$s).

Yep. Same size but with more frills is the B2910. Both are excellent 30hp tractors that will do a surprising amount of work but still light enough to lawn mow with.

Yeah, probably better with the B2910 as the 3pt is a control valve vs. the 1/4-inching one on the B7800. B2910 probably also has an actual alternator: had to add one to my B7800- replace the dynamo (though had I opted to run LEDs I could have probably gotten away with it). Don't ever plan on letting go of my B7800!

B2910 also has tilt/telescoping steering wheel, suspension seat, cruise control, clutch pedal to control PTO startup, telescoping 3pt arms with telescoping pinned stabilizers. They are actually better equipped than their successor, the B3030. You'll soon learn how valued they are if you start shopping for one. They rightfully bring a good price. :)

Here's some pics of the B2910 I used to have.

Here it is parked beside a JD455 for size comparison.

I Just love the B series. I think that they're the most nimble+powerful+resilient tractors ever made. My B7800 has done stuff that I'm pretty sure no other tractor could do! And I've done stuff with it that many folks would just be horrified over!

Hmmmm good stuff for sure! Sticking to a b series might be easier on the wallet and easier to convert my front snow blower too.....

I would think get a lawn tractor or 4 wheeler for the clearing of the pond, and then get a tractor of your liking and not worry about the weight.

Take a look at the B2601. Same physical size as your 2400, but improved hydraulic specs for 3 point and FEL, plus an additional 2 engine horsepower!!I wasn't worried about weight and recently upgraded to a B2650 ROPS. I absolutely love it. The additional weight has been a plus for me as it does things in 2wd that my B2400 needed 4wd to do.

I was looking at the B3350 last year until I stumbled upon a 06 B3030 with 241 hours. Excellent shape and couldn't pass it up for $18K.
Included a custom made professional aerator, Kubota ballast box and 600 pounds of weights. Good deals are far and few between...I was looking for over a year. Glad I held off on the B3350 with all the initial tier 4 issues. Seems they have them resolved from recent posts here. It really is a NICE tractor!!!

Yes, adding ballast to the rear wheels is HUGE on these lighter machines. After I put ballast in my B7800 I was able to go places in 2wd that I was previously wary of doing in 4wd! Best additions to my tractor was ballast and a tooth bar: had I had these to start with I'd have been a LOT more productive!
