Thanks for the pix. Can't say I have seen any of them around here. As a kid, my neighbor had a Ford 9N with tracks. There was a wheel mounted just forward of the rear tire, and tracks went around it and rear wheel. Was used in the winter to go through the snow, to empty the manure spreader on the fields. I owned one of the chinese crawlers with the 6way blade and 3pt. I have to honestly say that I was not impressed. Wished that I had taken it out and used it for a day before committing. I have a JD 350C now, yes it is bigger, but reliability and parts win out.

Another point I read while researching is the Chinese Dozer does not have hardened steel tracks & pins, causing stretching of the tracks to the point of removing a growser. I think I saw it in the owners manual. Looked easy enough to do from my perspective.

Ive got one of them in the shop right now trying to get the right steering clutch on it. Ive had to sent 3 back. THe guy im fixing it 4 is wealthy and Gave 14 000 for this machine new when he cauod have gotten a 500 International with new under carriage for the same. I had to make the tilt cylinder last week. Hes tryin to sell it to me but i ran it new and dont like it. the three point is handy but i put on on a 350 a few years ago for a freind.
Hes trying to get me to butter up a customer into having it. hes bought a magnatrac a few months agto and tought it was big enough to keep up with a 21Komatsu. I think a Sawmill may buy the little dozer to use in the saw dust pile. His 4th trip to the supplier i think he ll understand parts availability.

I bought a grey market Komatsu D20A about a week and half ago and it is great. It is 40 hp and weighs 9000 lbs. The D21 is sold in the US and the only difference is the 21 has a shuttle shift tranny and mine has a regular gear tranny. That really isn't an issue though because of the way the gears are layed out. I would not want anything smaller but it's small size is handy for getting in the tight spaces that I am working in. One like mine can be had for $10K to $13K. Attached is a picture.

Im very familiar with Komatsu products, when my brother had his company we had 4 D20,s and 31P's. Someone kept trying to sell hime a Chinese machine raggin us about grey markets, I showed them that you can cross most parts over. and didnt have to wait either. Ive only been an operators 10 years while dad and brother have more than that. The chinese machine i ran had slow hydraulics and it was new. The undercarriage had no rock gaurds, Dry pins and busshed tracks, the blade angle wasnt what was desired and it was a narrow pad and the track pasds were a bit odd sized. We bought the Komatsu's because of our experience with them and the size range. swamp tracks and a few oter perks. I dont mean to sound negative about the little machines but it would be hard for me to buy one.

I have an older model sold under the name POWER TRAC PT 400. (Other names are RHINO and Hobby Horse International) Looks the same except my model has a 28hp two cylinder desiel engine. When I bought it it wasn't working. I overhauled the engine myself. Hard to get parts. I mean really hard. I did find a dealer of parts, but they are a mom and pop operation and they didn't have everything. They sent me a parts catalog and that did help.

Now that its working its a ***** to get start. Starter is weak.. I am looking for a new one as it craped out on me yesterday. When I pulled it, the housing was broken. (cheap steel) When it is working, it's perfect size for my property.

The reason I bought it was for its size and price. Now that I have had it a will, I might find something else that I can get parts for.

Hi,,

We sell the dozers and have had pretty good luck with them
The first question I'll ask hearing about a "weak" starter is
, do you start with the compression release? The dozers come
with battery cables that are not really big enough (over
an 8 foot span) to supply the starter without the compression
release. First try opening the C/R completely and spinning
the motor, then releasing the C/R. Our 3 bangers light instantly this way. The 2 banger you have has an even bigger TDC hurdle. If that doesn't do it try putting a jumper cable directly on the starter and trying the same starting procedure... Lets us know...

Those little chinese dozers are awesome. Ive been putting one through its paces for a year and a half now in clay. Every once in a while it will get stuck but thats normal for gumbo.
