Chipper Chinese Chipper Review

I'm looking at the Jinma and have read many issues with the feed roller assembly. It looks like observations made by Markie61(5/07/04) may have addressed the problem. Did anyone have success with trying his nub reworking suggestion?

I'm located in the San Jose, Ca area and was thinking about buying it through China Best Products for $1550. Don't know if any of you have heard of China Best Products, or not, but am looking for any input/warnings.

Also, I had seen a post of DIYGuy (mark) where he mentioned a modification he made to the 6" chipper - e.g, foot pedal to control the feed. Since seeing that post and many other, I tried to "go back" and look at it again - but I wasn't able to find it. I thought there were some pictures that were going to be posted, but unable to find them. Does anyone know if there are any, and if so, where they were posted?

Michael, are you able to pickup that chipper nearby? Or do you plan on paying shipping on top of the $1550?

I sent you a PM about the foot pedal, and the knuckles, we have sold alot of these units with very few problems.If we can help you with anything please let us know.I would confirm a ship date, ordering from China you are looking at 45-60 days.
also ask about tariff fees(yes on woodchippers) warehouse pick up fees, delivery fees, customs.Also check about warranty parts if they have them in stock in the USA, knuckles,blades,inner and outter drive shafts, PTO shafts,.

I'd be quite interested to know if you do that deal and how it worked out. I had a very nice email chat with them this morn. They only put a unit in their (Frisco or Oakland) warehouses upon a customer ordering one. Payment must be made in advance of pickup (and inspection of unit) and be made by wire transfer or money order. I just can't do business that way. They do seem like nice, no-pressure folks though.

The interesting thing about Chinese products is that they are getting better and better every day. Don't forget that your money is not going directly to China. There is a middle man, such as Tractorloft, that employs US workers. And Tractorloft and their employees spend theitr money like everyone else...in the US economy on a wide range of products.

I'll keep you posted if I go with them - The main concern I have is in the company China Best Products. The challenge is - how to determine if they are reputable.

I ordered the chipper from China Best Products after talking to others who ordered from them. The cost will be $1565 which includes a spare set of belts and blades. I'll keep you posted on delivery which, if it holds true to what they told me, should be 30 to 40 days from the time funds clear. So far, I've been impressed with their responsiveness to emails - The longest wait for response to my 12 emails has been an hour for the two emails I sent on Sunday. The other emails have been answered within 30 minutes. This will only be significant if they are for "real", and I receive the chipper.

Homier has them in stock $1299.00, called a Farm Pro, but as I have posted, is the Jinma. Shipping is reasonable. Don't use their estimator. Call them and if you get shipping to business that has lift, very reasonable. See other post about in this thread about good price for chipper. Some of us have ordered within the last week. Takes about a week for delivery.
