Just as a follow-up, I have done research looking for this chipper. I found a dealer in Chesapeake, Va. which I can drive to. If you pre-order, he sells them for only $1150. By pre-order, that means you pay in advance and there is a 60 day wait for delivery. Sounds like a good deal to me. I'm ordering one!

Oh, sorry...or should I say Duh!

The dealer's name is Emerybuilt Tractors in Chesapeake, Va. The phone is 1-888-603-4510. The guys name to speak to is Gary...very nice fellow. Their web site is www.emerybuilt.com/ but they don't show any attachments there. Only his private labeled line of Chinese Tractors (along with a not too shabby bikini clad operator!). He has a lot more than what's on there. If you click on the one picture that comes up on the first page, you'll get a whole range of bikini...err I mean tractor photos. I'll keep you guys posted on my deal but it will be a while.

I've been in the market for one of these to replace my 10HP Troy-bilt ever since I used it the first time. Pretty disappointed in the performance of this unit. But have heard good things about the PTO units, but $'s have been an issue, 3-5k here in Mich.

TonyC - What is the model of the one shown on this post, I am also interested in ordering at that price. It'll cost a bit more for me, I have to have it shipped to Michigan, but still will be a lot less than anything I've seen around here!

I don't know of any model number off hand but I'll see if one exists. It's the only chipper model that Jinma imports if that helps. I'll let you know what I find out.

The only model # I've seen is the Jinma 6-24 wood chipper (w/mechanical feed). Please us know if "Gary" from Emerybuilt is for real and the price is accurate. If so, I'll order one too.

The tag on my chipper says it is a Model 6. I know I've seen info on a Model 4 by someone importing them, so all potential buyers should be certain that Model 6 is what they are pricing.
I have around 20 hours on my chipper now (which is a BIG pile of chips). It really works great, but first maintenance issue emerged today: tension on feed drum clutch has loosened up.

The chipper in the post is a model 006. Also called a Jinma 006, or a Jinma 6-24. I now have about 15 hours on it and haven't had a single issue.

They do make a smaller unit, an 004. I do know one of the local guys in MA has both posted on his web site.
