Chipper Chinese Chipper Review

Just as a follow-up, I have done research looking for this chipper. I found a dealer in Chesapeake, Va. which I can drive to. If you pre-order, he sells them for only $1150. By pre-order, that means you pay in advance and there is a 60 day wait for delivery. Sounds like a good deal to me. I'm ordering one!

Oh, sorry...or should I say Duh!

The dealer's name is Emerybuilt Tractors in Chesapeake, Va. The phone is 1-888-603-4510. The guys name to speak to is Gary...very nice fellow. Their web site is www.emerybuilt.com/ but they don't show any attachments there. Only his private labeled line of Chinese Tractors (along with a not too shabby bikini clad operator!). He has a lot more than what's on there. If you click on the one picture that comes up on the first page, you'll get a whole range of bikini...err I mean tractor photos. I'll keep you guys posted on my deal but it will be a while.

I've been in the market for one of these to replace my 10HP Troy-bilt ever since I used it the first time. Pretty disappointed in the performance of this unit. But have heard good things about the PTO units, but $'s have been an issue, 3-5k here in Mich.

TonyC - What is the model of the one shown on this post, I am also interested in ordering at that price. It'll cost a bit more for me, I have to have it shipped to Michigan, but still will be a lot less than anything I've seen around here!

I don't know of any model number off hand but I'll see if one exists. It's the only chipper model that Jinma imports if that helps. I'll let you know what I find out.

The only model # I've seen is the Jinma 6-24 wood chipper (w/mechanical feed). Please us know if "Gary" from Emerybuilt is for real and the price is accurate. If so, I'll order one too.

Will do. I will probably drive out there myself in a week or so. I'll keep you posted.

The tag on my chipper says it is a Model 6. I know I've seen info on a Model 4 by someone importing them, so all potential buyers should be certain that Model 6 is what they are pricing.
I have around 20 hours on my chipper now (which is a BIG pile of chips). It really works great, but first maintenance issue emerged today: tension on feed drum clutch has loosened up.

The chipper in the post is a model 006. Also called a Jinma 006, or a Jinma 6-24. I now have about 15 hours on it and haven't had a single issue.

They do make a smaller unit, an 004. I do know one of the local guys in MA has both posted on his web site.
