Chisel Plow

I need to rip up a garden plot and may use a ripper if I replant a pasture. Do you guys think I can pull this 7 tine spring loaded chisel plow with my IHC 424?

Don't see why not if you go slow also small bites until you/tractor get the feel.

i saw that on on craigs list here as well. When i first read your post i wast like hey i have seen that plow before then i realized that it was on craigs list then i looked at your location and saw SC, i knew where i had seen it then. That guy has a pretty heafty price on it though. I found a 7 and a 9 tine i think in similar shape near Gafney on wendsday for $350is and $500something ish. If i was you id want to get that price a little lower before i paid the $600 he wants.

He says takes a 50 hp, how much do you have. If you want i have the guys card for the place in Blacksburg. Hes a retired guy who sells new and used tractor stuff, He also had some new fred cains arriving yesterday or today i think.

If you can't pull all the shanks, you can easily remove 2 and try again. You won't pull 7 very deep. Ken Sweet

I was think that or maybe putting the shanks on ther rear bar on the front and removing the rear bar (would keep the weight closer to the tractor).

I do think $600 is to high.
