Yup you are 110% correct on the skill of the operator. But there are a couple of other things that come into play as well. The little voice of experience that says don't go there with the tractor and the macho voice says it's 4wd. You know which voice sometimes wins./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Remember the little voice is always right. I do right after I bury the tractor.

I know what you mean though. Even though I only have a couple dozen hours on mine, I am amazed at how much "better" I am than I was when I first got it. Of course that's a relative term. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

There is a great tire article in the latest "four-wheeler" magazines that at the stores now.

I realize it is about trucks and Jeeps, but many of the same concepts apply to our tractors.

I can jump in the category of surrounded by woman as well. My wife is from a family of three daughters, we have two daughters, her sister has three daughters, and her other sister has one daughter! We wanted a boy but with those odds it would be another girl. Don't get me wrong I love my girls and wouldn't trade either one for a boy. Her dad's still hoping one of the other daughters has a boy though.

Richard, don't bet on that one! We've got 3 girls, 2 boys, and two of the older girls married with four girls each. That generation had their ducks out of order in many different ways!

I hear you. I mowed my yard 3 times LAST WEEK!/w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif. The garden is coming along famously, and the pain of digging it with a SHOVEL /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif is slowly fading. One of these days I'll have a tractor with R1's, R4's, or turfs, and I'll defend my choice. Until then, I'll just assist in diverting threads onto unrelated topics. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

fishman, I only mowed mine twice last week, but the first time it was really way past due./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif And of course, that was twice with the tractor, plus another 2 hours with the DR timmer/mower. And at least some of everything I planted is showing now in the garden. Looks like it's off to a pretty good start. And the blackberries are blooming./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
