CK 25 will not start

My CK25 has about 310 hours. I have been fanatical on maintainance. Last night started it up, backed up to finish mower, turned off , hooked up mower: no restart.

There is fuel in the bowl, PTO is in neutral (disengaged) I do hear that click when I turn key. Can anybody suggest a sequence of what to check? I am quite a few miles from the dealer and don't know jack about diesels.

I did a search on this site and only thing I found was some discouraging threads about bad injector pumps and the cost to replace?

What is my next step? It cranks like a champ but does not fire up. If you can be specific about what to look for and where that would be a help as I have no shop manual and do not know a solenoid from a relay. Yes, I'm that unknowledgeable in the area but I have been quite rigid as far as fluids, grease, and other maintainance items. Unfortunately my Kioti has failed me!!

Sounds like it's time to call your dealer.
Hate to say it but it sounds like you may be a candidate for a new injector pump

It is time to visit your dealer. Depending on when you purchased it is whether or not it is covered by warranty. If you have a problem let us know - you don't say where you are from. If you are in VA, give us a call - have your serial number ready.

Hold on and backup. When you turn the key you hear a click. Is that click coming from the starter motor/solenoid?
The sequence is; turn key > engage solenoid > solenoid switch closes > power to starter motor > starter motor spins engine > engine runs.

Don't panic, I would first check the battery connections, clean and tight.

Next check the battery cable connections to the tractor frame and solenoid.

And of course, is the battery in good condition, a weak battery cant switch the solenoid?

Transit: The click comes from under hood . I will try to pinpoint. Batterty good, cables seem tight. It does seem like starter is turning but not firing

I disconected the line that runs from fuel filter bowl when I crank fuel does come out but seems to spurt as opposed to steady stream. Is this normal?

Injector pump!

You seem pretty sure its the injector pump. I bought the Kioti in July 07 so warranty is expired. However only 300 some hours on the tractor. Any thought on how do get KIoti to cover as I have read that there was a known quality issue with the pump.

My Kioti dealer was great to me but recently sold the franchise. I have been to new franchise owner for some small things and they are not the warmest bunch unless of course I'm dropping serious cash for a new tractor. Do I contact Kioti corporate or pretty please the dealer to contact Kioti??

Assuming that Kioti will cover pump any idea if they will send directly to me? Reason being I have a local tractor guy who can install as opposed to having tractor hauled to this dealer some 50 miles from here.

does the engine turn over?

If the engine is spinning then it could be fuel related.

If the engine is not spinning over then likely electrical, bad battery connections.

Injector pump!

Ok, you have fuel at the low pressure side of the pump. Open the lines to the injectors, crank the engine. Is there high pressure fuel going to the injectors?

Or remove one of the injectors from the engine, reconnect it to the fuel line, crank the engine and you should see a fine spray of fuel from the injector.

BTW, to stop the engine, is there a fuel cutoff or solenoid that stops fuel to the engine?
