CK 25 will not start

I wonder if Kioti will help cover the cost of this, cause I don't have $1500. I don't even know how I can get it to the dealer. Its backed into the shed with the backhoe down and the fel down.

Mine was replaced in the field. Ask your dealer about this approach.

That is part of the problem, the dealer I bought my tractor from is no longer a Kioti dealer and the second dealer I was using is no longer in business. I just called today and spoke to a new(to me) dealer. The problem is going to trying to get the backhoe off and the fel and then somehow get it out of the shed and on the trailer. Mine tractor is also 2005 so its well out of warranty, but I suppose it can't hurt to try asking.

Call your dealer and also 1-877-go kioti. I am sure they will work with you on a reasonable sollution.

Does the fixing dealer have a roll back?
If so have him drag it on.

I'm thinking that the dealer may not have the resources to do it in the field.
We have change many pumps in the field. We are able to complete the job is less than 2 hours in the field.

Thanks for the info. Rick I'm not sure if they have a roll back or not. The only problem is the backhoe is swung to the side so it would fit in the shed, it will probably work, but be a little bit of work. The dealer I spoke to estimated it at around 4hrs. I think he said he has only done 1 other, I'm not 100% sure though. I'll try getting it to the dealer this week just to confirm it is the rail problem, then call Kioti. I still have not found a way to check it my self, I've been trying but without a shop manual I lost under the hood. Does anybody have pics? I've taken off the oil fill on the right side of the tractor to try to see the rail, then I'm not sure how far I'm supposed to turn the key before the rail moves.

Gravel13, My fuel rack was stuck and the dealer just replaced the pump but when I took it to the dealer we couldn't get it started to get it off the trailer and my bucket was down. The starter will turn the engine over fast enough to run the hydraulic pump and raise the bucket, not sure about moving the hoe.

Well, I can give a little update. I was finally able to get my tractor out of my shed and on onto the trailer and to the dealer last weekend. (Weekend time is very limited with 2 boys in hockey this time of year.) It was the rack and some gears were sheared off and that is what was sticking. I have a call into Kioti now and I am just waiting for a call back. I have also now found a new dealer, to work with since the other 2 no longer deal with Kioti. I will try to update as we go.

Well, I got the tractor back a while ago and the dealer was great, pretty quick turn around. Since Kioti would not do anything, the dealer had the pump/rack rebuilt. I was somewhat disappointed with Kioti. I talked to them after the dealer called them and was told that they would pay for anything. Since they wouldn't replace the pump, which I could understand, I had asked them how they determined which ones that replace due to this problem. They said that is was only a specific year that had issues and I guess mine just missed the boat

. I even stated that all I was looking for was for them to help out in some way, even if it was to pay the dealer for the labor, which was only $200ish. But in there infinite wisdom I was SOL.

The one good thing out of this is I now have a new dealer and hopefully he can stay in business for a while.

Gravel,

Not having the original dealer backing you up I'm sure didn't help your case with Kioti. Kinda sucks. How many hours? Mine failed at right around 300 hours.

Yeah, I wish the original dealer still was a Kioti dealer, I had also bought a bunch of Stihl products from them and still do. I believe I had 238, I can't remember now. I'll have to look at the meter when I get home from work as I'll be pushing snow once again.

Just checked one of my earlier post, it was 238 hrs.

Kioti ought to be doing a no ? asked warantee on their injector pumps, there's so many of them that have failed. It's gonna cost them more in reputation than it would to just replace them.

I agree 100%. I know of 2 people that have bought Kioti tractors based on my recommendations. I know that every brand of tractor has issues. I didn't go calling them and yelling when my loader cracks were found and I let the guy at Kioti know that, I just thought that if they have covered the labor part ($200+) they could have kept me happy. I know that I'm not in the market for a new tractor any time soon, but I will remember this when the time does come around.

Well, I don't think there's much doubt that Kioti is among the best tractors out there, but they've had a few issues that they should have handled better, to build customer loyalty.

As I understand it, the new tractors use gears in the injector pump that are less prone to breaking. The old design used a brittle gear material. I think this has been resolve.... I hope so, anyway. I've had mine changed and was told the new pump had better materials. For what it's worth Kioti did take care of me. Probably has a lot to do with dealer too.

Well time to resurrect a very old thread. About 8 years and 340 hrs and I think my IP has gone again. Tractor stalled out while using it and know won't restart. It turns over and cranks but that is it. I'm almost hoping that it is a relay or something but I've got a bad feeling it's the same thing as before. My dealer isn't open til Wednesday so I'm going to give them a call. I don't see how this could happen a second time unless when the dealer had it rebuilt the first time maybe they only replaced the gears that were broken at which point I would have changed all 3.
