CK vs DK

( Vince, does your DK35 have a float capability on the hydraulics. In other words, can you float your box or blade? )

Most all compact tractors have no down pressure on the 3 point hitch, the weight of the implements is the down pressure.
So the answer is yes it floats.
I add weights to my implements if needed..
I also added hydraulic rear remotes to the tractor, a hydraulic top link and hydraulic tilt cylinder to my 3 point hitch so I can adjust how agressive my boxblade/backblade digs in from the tractor seat while on the go.

Go with the DK series . Great tractor !!! I have the DK45TLB and 50 acre ranch to use it on . It just works like crazy ! Are you planning on doing a little side job work with it also ? To me the DK is a more serious tractor for different work applications , but that is just my opinion . I know I have put my DK through some extreme use and it handled it fine . Years ago we had a tractor man who had a small 8' land plane he used in landscaping . That thing worked great . He pulled it with a Ford 2 wheel drive tractor that was just a little bigger than a Ford 8N so I know a 4wd DK would do it .

What should I expect to pay for a DK35TLB??? I'm only looking for approximates as I know the price can vary across the country.
Also, I believe I read in this forum that the DK40 is basically on a DK35 chassis with a few more ponies but larger rear tires which reduce the top of tire/fender clearance, is this true??? Is there much difference in capabilities of the 35 vs 40???

In terms of hydraulic output, I don't believe there is any difference between the 2. The 40 is taller, wider, slightly longer and has more ground clearance as you mentioned. Also, the 40 has 4 cylinders versus the 35's 3. The 45 is where you get the jump to more hydraulic output and greater lift capacities. On the kioti sight you can compare all the models that you wish against each other.

Can somebody explain the differences in work ability between the CK30 and DK35? I know the DK has 5 more horsepower, but that shouldn't make a huge difference in abilities. Also, does the DK lift more, or pull much more than the CK? I'm gettin close to buying, still trying to make up my mind.

The CK30 has a PTO HP rating of 24HP, the DK35 is 28.3, not a lot, but a more powerful PTO, which would translate to a little more power to an implement.
The CK30 3pt lift capacity is 1754#, DK35 is 2425#.
With the DK35, you get position control, draft control and mixed. With the CK30 you only get position control.
The DK35 only comes in synchronized shuttle gear transmission, the CK30 in Hst/synchro shuttle.
As far as pulling etc. there isn't a great deal of difference, but if you need a little more PTO HP, and more lift capacity, the DK would be your best choice. Of course, if you want HST, you'll have to go CK30 as it's the largest thing Kioti offers with HST at this time.
You may prefer on style over the other as well with the CK having a sloped hood and curved arm loader, the DK having squared hood and dog leg loader arms. A little better visibility on the CK. Either will probably do most anything you'd need to do, not knowing exactly what it is you will be doing.
Go sit on them, and get a feel for how they fit you. It's a toss up in many ways. John

Also, does the DK lift more, or pull much more than the CK?

When you say "pull", do you mean like pulling a trailer? It's almost as important if not more, how much you can "stop", than how much you can "pull".

By pulling I meant, for instance a box or blade...

Does anybody have the inside scoop on when the DK35 will be remodeled? I see in one of the posts that the DK45 is undergoing a facelift? Will the DK35 be next??? And, if someone has the inside scoop, will it be available by this fall or next spring???

( I don't believe they will be re-doing the DK35 for a while. Sorry. )

When they do I want to see it availible with options like power shift, hydro, factory cab.. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
