Dewave,

Congrats on the new setup, and welcome to the "CK" club!

Does your ROPS really not fold? It's tough to tell from the photos, but it does look different than what I have...mine has a pin in the bracket that attaches the ROPS to the fender/frame that can be pulled to allow the bar to fold. It also had two screw in knobs to keep the bar from rattling, but they bent quickly and the dang thing rattled so much it drove me crazy...so I made a wood wedge to jam in there, seems fine now.

Dewave,

Thanks for the dimensions and look forward to the pics. Could I ask you for one more measurement, from the seat cushion of the backhoe to the top of the ROPS? Just trying to see where my head would be in relation to the ROPS when using the backhoe.

First off here are the pics of the subframe, its really easy to take off and put back on as long as everything level and plumb. Keyword: LEVEL. Adjustable jack stands help tremendously.

The previous pic was the front portion of the subframe. Here's the rear subframe showing the 2 pins that hold everything in place.

Dewave,

Those pics are helpful. So if I understand correctly, when the backhoe is off, you get back the full 12" of ground clearance, with no mounting brackets remaining that are closer than 12" to the ground?

I had already measured my garage and wasn't concerned with foldable ROPS, but I do wish I had gotten them. But these sure as heck don't rattle! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

There are 2 mounting brackets left on the tractor after taking the BH off. You can see them in the picture I took of the front subframe. They are held on by 3 bolts and could be easily taken off.

The BH seat to the ROPS measures 32 inches, but you have take in account the the seat is adjustable. There are 2 bolts holding the seat in place and there are 4 holes to choose from. Mine is in the middle. Pic to follow.
