Some other TBN'ers said its easier to dig up a tree instead of a stump. Hey, I think they're right! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Slow easy going and Not for the faint of heart /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Here's what happens when I forget to fill the FEL with dirt before tackling the larger stumps. So I just set the stump down and use the FEL to push it where ever I want.

I've been expecting that question. What took so long, lol. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Right now I have around 25-30 trees on the edge of my yard that need to be dug up. (Thanx to Isabel) If you look at my grass/yard in my last picture you should see why I choose them. What you can't see is that the yard was still tore up a bit even by the turf tires due to numerous repositionings of BH. R4's would have raped my yard! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

The turf tires do not handle mud or snow worth squat, as soon as the tread fills with the mud/snow it basically turns into racing slick. I will be purchasing some rubber tire chains for the little snow that I do get here in MD.

No doubt the 4x4 helps but right now I am pleasantly suprized with them.

I acutally have a customer with a CK20HST with the turf tires on it who said its great in snow. Last snow we got about 8 or 9 inches and he was out pushing and blading off driveways with the CK20, said he never slipped a tire. He was amazed at how it handled it the snow. It sure suprised me. Maybe it was just cus it wasn't that cold out and it wasn't much snow. It had me shocked, acutally it still does.

Freaky weather here in MD this year, yesterday was 70 degrees, so maybe the snow will pass us by this year and I will never find out.

As for mud, I was turning my compost in the middle of my wet garden and got stuck, level ground, only 5-6 inches deep. The FEL got me out.

Super pictures Dewave! I'm amazed at how fast you put that CK20 through some serious paces. You'll have your yard cleared up in no time. As far as turf tires go I think it depends on the tread. I had a Ford 1220 with Firestone turf tires. When it came time to replace them I came across a good deal on some Goodyear turfs. The traction improvement was like night and day. The Goodyears had less round of an edge (more squared off when looking at them from behind the tractor.) I guess the moral of the story would be, All turf tires are not created equal.
