I haven't written anything here for 10 yrs. I still have my tractor and use it frequently. As the title says it now has 850 hrs. Since the problem with the front axle I have not had a single breakdown. It has spent its life outside in temps as low as -35 c and as high as 35 c. It has alway started and worked flawlessly. I let my son-in-law use it to repair his road..he is very hard on mechanical things. (electrician !!) and even he couldn't break it. If you want I can take some pics. It is looking like a 13 yr old tractor that lived in the woods but it still runs perfectly. I have used it to maintain a 1/2 km wood road, work with trees I've cut down, move rocks, load dirt in my truck, as a work platform and, tow truck.
Things wearing out...... loader pins will have to be changed out this year, tires (agri type) fronts done last year, rears probably this year. That's it. One thing that was not the tractors fault was that my fuel line and filter was freezing about 5 yrs ago. I asked some people about it and they told me to use a methanol type additive but the person said to add 1 litre. It dissolved the tank liner and clogged my filter. I haven't replaced the tank and still find black goo in the filter. I will change the fuel line this summer but it is 13 yrs old and the fuel additive probably weakened it.
This year I have noticed the power is down some and the hydraulics seem weaker (no leaks but pump probably getting worn). I adjusted the clutch 18 most ago.
I'm very proud of my little tractor. He's been a trustworthy and hard working team mate.
