I currently have a MF GC2300 but am considering upgrading to a compact tracor. I have been looking hard at the CK20-25-30. I am wondering about the difference between the ck25 and ck 30.

The dealer I visited quoted me $14,883 for the 25 with a shuttle shift and KL130 FEL (I asked him about the upgraded loader and he didn't have a clue) He was pushing the CK25 hard and priced the 30 shuttle shift at $18,500 with the FEL. I thought that was a big jump for 5 HP. R2s on both

Also how does HST compare to shuttle shift...he said a CK30 with HST would be about the same pulling power as the CK25 with shuttle shift and that with anything but PTO work, the 30 is just extra money.

I will be doing landscaping mostly and some rough mowing, potentially running a BH.

My GC does everything I ask it to do but I am thinking about the future when I get some more land.

Hello Weesa, ask away , your in the right place, plenty of ck25 and ck30 users here. Your price for the ck30hst sounds very high, id shop around more, also test each tractor out for yourself.. Good luck

CK 25 owner here,I shopped a longtime and was going for a 30 gear but dealer made me a smokin deal on the 25. I don't have any pto work planed just a backhoe and it should make no difference on H.P. On the hydro issue that is just personal preferance I believe,I like the gears. I also have the 66" bucket up front and 72" boxblade on rear with industrial tires no problems at all with power or traction. As far as price that is really regional but seems high for a southeastern area. CK 25 up here in N.Y. is about 1500-1800 less than a 30 and hydro is about 1200-1500 more than a gear. I hope all us Kioti owners can help with your questions. BTW no loader problems in 1 1/2 months of use.

Welcome Weesa, I purchased a ck30 this past spring and couldn't be happier with either the machine or my dealer. I personally don't think you could go wrong either way. I was looking at the 25 initially, it would have been more than enough tractor for my uses but for a couple reasons I decided on the 30 instead(my dealer did not push either one, was happy to show me and let me run both). My 30 gear w/Woods 1012 FEL was quoted at about 1500 more than the 25 gear w/kl130 FEL. I realize prices are regional but 18.5k for a ck30 gear seems quite high, thought prices were supposed to be a bit better down below :). For me what kicked me over the hump to the 30 was the Woods FEL w/QA setup and 5hp for what I considered a reasonable pinch in the wallet. If the loaders were swapped the other way I could have just as easily ended up with the 25 and would have been just as happy. If your use is mostly ground engaging, traction dependant work the 25 may be more than enough(basically same weight and hydro output). If using hp dependant PTO attachments go for the ponies. just my cent and a half.

Just purchased a CK30 HST FEL and Box blade for $15,850 from Eaton Tractor in Chatsworth GA. Don't know about the CK25. Good Luck.

Thanks for all the feedback...I thought the price was kind of high for the CK30...he doesn't have one on the lot so I think he was trying to sell the CK25 by making the CK30 so much more than it really is. I thought about $1500 more for the 30 was about right from other things I have read...

I don't think I will be going back there anytime soon.

CK25 HST owner here. I shopped a lot and tried different models. This is my first hydro and I will never go back. I question the statement that 30 w/hydro will equal 25 with gear, however. I had a 25 HP gear tractor that this hydro replaced, and it pulls a lot stronger than the gear tractor. I use a middle buster, a 5 foot box blade and 5 foot woods bush hog. All are well suited to the tractor. My biggest reason for wanting the hydo is the tight spaces I have to mow around and maneuver with the FEL. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven the first time I mowed going foward and reverse with nothing but a movement of my foot. The precision in getting around trees, beds and fences is truely astounding. I also have one hill that is too steep to do sideways. I cut by backing down and driving up, cutting in both directions. I don't think there is a right answer. It just depends on what you want to use your tractor for. BTW, I love my Kioti after 35 hours of hard use.

I was thinking about a ck25 but purchased a ck30 hst just because I felt the extra HP would do what I need to get done, and it has. Two months ago I paid $18,500.00 for mine with a BH and FEL out the door. I know prices differ in different areas,I purchased mine in northern calif., if its not to personal I think it would interesting to see what others are paying in different areas.
