CK2610 cold wheather question??

"How many time did you let your glow plugs cycle for before starting. I have a 2610 aswell and have not started in a couple weeks I will probably have to plug it in for a couple hours".

If it's around 20'F or less, I cycle the glow plugs twice. Above 20'F or so, once. You'll hear when it would like two cycles. The double cycle just keeps the engine from clattering a good bit for the first 15 seconds and a faster ignition of the fuel.

The Power Service, white bottle, has worked good for me in the Winter and the Rotella T6 5w-40 oil, use year-round, makes engine cranking easier. I usually put the additive into the five gallon container first and then fill with diesel. Gives it a good mixing. Happy to hear your up and running. Cold temps hanging around but at least not as much snow.

We began running winter fuel treatment before gas stations began selling winterized fuel and it's paid off. No problems cold starting, even below zero.

The problem is that we have had little snow and I dont want to to anything when its so cold out!

I致e been running furnace oil in mine. I put water dispersant, cetane improver, and fuel system lubricant treatments in it. I also use 5W40 motor oil and I have a block heater. Flawless quick starts every single time. :)
