Hello everyone. I just took possession of my new CK2610 TLB earlier this evening. While comfortable with with automotive repairs & maintenance, I am new extremely new to hydraulics and have never owned a tractor this size. After the dealer pulled it off the trailer, we went over all of the controls together. Problem was that I was trying to watch my 4 1/2 year old son (his mom was putting our 6 month old to bed) while listening to the dealers instructions. From the dealer, I ordered the tractor with a loader, backhoe, and grapple to give you a better understanding of the hydraulic setup. I know the dealer had to add a remote to the rear and then install a second remote in the front for the grapple? Either way, I have two levers on the right side of my seat that control the hydraulics if I heard him right, mind you my son wasn't making it any easier to listen. If I heard the dealer correctly, the first/inner lever has a neutral, forward, & backward which sends hydraulic pressure to either the loader/front attachment or backhoe/rear attachment. (In hindsight, this doesn't make sense to me because it seems as though I wouldn't have to SELECT whether I wanted hydraulic pressure to the loader or backhoe however this could just be a complete misunderstanding of the hydraulic functioning on my part) The second/outer lever is to control the open/close functions on the grapple.
So in between driving the tractor from my driveway to barn, I messed something up and didn't put the lever back in neutral when I shut the tractor off or something because when I parked the machine, I went to lower the bucket before turning it off and realized that my joystick wouldn't move the loader in any direction. Then I remembered the lever I mentioned above and pushed it backward thinking I would try the backhoe only to realize that the backhoe would only swing one way and then that stopped. At that point with my child still on my lap and my wife yelling for us to come in so that he could go to bed, I just shut the machine down for the night. I guess my question is this. Did I lock the hydraulics up by not following the lever sequence appropriately and if so, how do I go about correcting this? I would like to get it sorted asap so that I can avoid the embarrassment of calling the dealer first thing tomorrow after screwing it up only minutes after taking delivery. :ashamed:
Thanks for any replies or thoughts in advance. For anybody that is curious about this particular model, I would be more than happy to post some pics of it tomorrow. Additionally, I will do a write up on the research/buying process which ultimately led me to this particular model for anybody that may be in the same boat as I was.
