CK2610H : front axle pivot won't take grease

   / CK2610H : front axle pivot won't take grease #11
Well I finally unscrewed the offending front zerk, expecting it to be plugged. It proceeded to spew a stream of GC amsoil grease at me, obviously under pressure in there. Since this is red grease, and OE grease was green or brown, I know it has been taking grease all along. Somehow it does not vent any though, unlike the rear pivot. Still, should be plenty of grease in there until the next "official" greasing.
Good to know. I have the same suspicious zerk on my CK2610HST front axle. Thanks,

Not the same problem as the OP, but I had a similar problem on two different bushing pins on my FEL. After several attempts at greasing without being able to detect any grease flowing I removed the zerks and then the pins themselves only to find the pins had no grease release holes whatsoever. Grease in but no way to get to the external surface of the pins. Simply drilling small release holes fixed the problem. This was on a new DK50, a factory defect. Added this comment just for anyone benefit should they find a similar problem on a bushing pin. Wrote about it here on another thread previously.
