Kioti CK27HST
The Kioti website says the CK27 HST comes with tilt steering. It doesn't say 'as an option' but maybe that is it.

I went and checked out a new one today, and neither I nor the sales person could see any way to do it.

How is it done, and is it an option?

Thanks,

David - San Diego

ps: that ignition switch really is in an ackward position, isn't it?

On my DK it is a Foot pedal on the left side.

Murph,

I thought that was a clutch for the PTO.

Okay, looked at a picture of the dask on the Kioti website - they show a lever where there was a blank (rubber filler) on the one I looked at:

Hmm, small picture, but I put an orange arrow pointing to the lever.

Is that the tilt steering control, you CK27 owners?

All ck27 tractors come standard with tilt steering. There is a lever below the steering wheel on the left side that you pull on to tilt.

Is that the lever in my picture? Cause there is no lever there on the one I looked at today at the dealer. :confused3:

The lever in your picture is for a gear tractor. An hst tractor will have the rubber plug in the dash and no lever.

The tilt lever will be "under" the left side of the dash below the headlight switch along the left side of I guess you could call it the dash neck that's from the floor to the dash top. It will be the same as the two on the right side under the dash but these two are for the cruise and brake lock.

Thanks, Vic!

Two answers in one (wondered what I was missing with just a rubber plug there!)

In your picture you can just barely see the tilt lever. It's yellow and lower, about where the cowling opens.

Just to be fair, I was working with the golf course equipment salesperson - they admitted they did not know much about the Kiotis, but it was lunch hour and at least they let me drive it. :)

I can see how it can get confusing. Kioti's website has all the wrong photos with the wrong tractors. They had it mostly right once upon a time. Then they "upgraded" and the whole thing is a mess. They show some with what looks like a choke, but is probably the manual fuel shutoff . And many U.S. models don't have the manual shutoff (all of them should have this). I think this and the horn are mandatory in Europe, and some seem to make it to the U.S. Just one example of how misleading the photos can be.

The tilt is a lever on the lower left, usually yellow. Just like the orange/red one on the right that is used to set the park brake. They all have tilt steering. I guess some like it/use it. I don't touch mine, and not too particular about where it is set.

Directly below the 4way flasher switch on the left (the one with the triangle on it) is the tilt lever (yellow).
