Great job Red. I bought my Kubota B21 when we were building a weekend home in the mountains and one of the main reasons for the B21 was the FOPS. It is very steep with lots of trees where we built. After 1200 hours on the tractor I could show you a few dents on the FOPS canopy that would have done bad things to my bald head. If more tractors offered a FOPS as an option I may well have up gotten a new one by now.

Put a heavy enough cover on your cage to hold your weight. My FOPS has been used as a stable work platform more than once. I have also used an aluminum scaffold plank between the FEL bucket and FOPS to provide a larger work area.

That's a good idea Mark, I was thinking .090 or .125 aluminum. I've got a mockup ready for the sheetmetal shop, alas I don't have a sheer and brake.

Just a thought. I used flattened expanded metal (9 gage) because i wanted to see what was happening above me.

Turned out another positive was that it does not reflect sound down. I did not realize how much noise could be reflected down until I put a piece of plywood on my FOPS to block the sun. I soon replaced it with a piece of cloth, which absorbs sound and still blocks the sun.
