The plan is to buy a used one since they seem to pop up around here often for a fraction of the price but I do plan to ask when I go back to see what they can do. I'd like to eventually get pallet forks and a box blade but that won't be for awhile. A buddy has a 5ft back blade he will sell to me really cheap too.

Funny, Hess is the dealer I've been talking to. I was able to sneak out of work early today and I went to Hess's to look over the CK3510 and loved it. I ran around the lot for a bit then spent some time talking to the guys. They stayed a little late to accomadate me since I got there 30 minutes before closing. We ran some numbers and I told him I'd be back when I had a day off.

The main reasons I am probably going with Kioti over Kubota are because of the FEL controls and the pedals. I really don't care for the treadle pedal and the joystick on the loader. After running the Kioti I defiantly like their setup a lot better, just feels right l, and will probably buy from them here shortly.

I worked with Kevin at Hess. They gave me a great deal on my 2610hst. I couldn't be happier. The big plus with Hess is they will come to you from any work/warranty for no charge!

New guy here looking at buying my first tractor. Been doing a ton of research which is what led me to this forum. Ive read a lot of great threads but figured I'd start my own.

I have been talking to dealers and getting prices. I was leaning towards a New Holland Worksmaster 35 till I got the prices from the 3 local NH dealers, so I decided that wasn't an option. After more research I decided on the Kubota L2501 until one NH dealer called back and mentioned they were also a Kioti dealer and had a CK3510 on the lot they think I'd really like and the price was fantastic. I hadn't even considered Kioti up till this point but after reading here and watching some videos, I am really liking what I see. I don't have a day off of work for almost 2 weeks so it'll be a bit before I can get to the dealer to check it out.

My question is, how is everyone with a CK3510 liking it? Pros and cons? I plan on getting the loader and backhoe and eventually a brush hog. Main purpose if just to use around my 7 acres which is by no means flat. There isnt really any flat surface on my property so I'd like to hear from people who have ran these machines on similiar terrain too. Thanks.

I am considering a CK 3510 to replace a very good 51 Ford 8N with Sherman combination transmission (12 speed) that I use to pull a 5' rotary cutter to mow several small parcels that do not look good if mowed with any of my larger tractor/mower combinations. I love the old Fords and know them inside and out but, at 68, I'm much less inclined to work on them than I once was so want something with a warranty.

I currently have four Kubotas, all have been great, and my Kubota/CNH dealer is only 5 miles away, but, though my dealer treats me well, they are not known for competitive prices and I cannot justify their asking price for a Kubota 3301 or 3901 to pull a 5' cutter 4 or 5 hours each year. The CK3501 is less expensive and has considerably better incentives.

I like the dual hydro pedals over the treadle but could live with either. The only issue that I found with the 3501 is the lack of turning brakes, which I sometimes use on the 8N. Interestingly, the Kubota 3301/3901 tractors do have turning brakes but the pedals are on the same (right) side as the hydro pedal, rendering it impossible to use the turning brakes and the hydro pedal at the same time.

Consider your dealer carefully. Kioti dealers tend to come and go, so consider how far it is to the next closest dealer.

The dealer I'm looking at is also a Hew Holland dealer that's been around since 1977. I believe he said they took on Kioti back in 2010. I got a really good impression from them and haven't heard anything bad from people who have bought and get service from there. The next dealer is across the border in N.Y. and is actually the same distance away. I called this morning to compare prices and they were only 100 bucks cheaper and just from my 5 minute conversation, I didn't care for the guy I talked to. He was very pushy and didn't seem to want to do the financing. Kept telling me to pay cash or go through my bank instead of using Kioti financing options.

If your dealer has had Kioti since 2010, he will likely continue the relationship.

Some fly-by-night dealers pick up Kioti because Kioti is aggressively looking to expand their dealer base, only to go out of business after the one year floor plan expires.

I have no issues with Kioti but am wary of some dealers.

With any brand tractor, cash sales always get you the best deal in the end. They may offer you other incentives to finance up front but they are betting that you won't pay off early and thus they end up making it back & then some in the interest. And the brand corporate sees that profit, not the individual dealer. He makes the same margin on the sale regardless of how you pay.

By going with a bank instead of "in house" financing, the dealer can treat you like a cash sale and thus offer you a better price plus you get the benefit of financing - just not thru the dealer / company. It's actually a win-win for you if you have to finance.

Sounds to me like he was trying to help, he just needs to work on his communication skills. Not trying to sway you to a particular dealer (i don't know any of them) just pointing out a possible "method to the madness".

As to your questions about the tractor itself, we love ours. Had it about 4 years and no issues to speak of. I will second (or third or whatever) about having the tires filled - actually fill all 4. I'm in the "foothills of the Blue Ridge" so I'm working on some pretty steep hillsides also. Just remember it's not a dozer and if your gut says this doesn't feel stable, then back out and find another path.

Best of luck whatever you decide to do, but I think you'll be happy with it.

Well, took a half day off work to go to the dealer to look over the tractor one more time and fill out some paperwork before I talked myself out of spending that much money. He should have all the paperwork done by tomorrow then all that's left is for them to load the tires and I'm switching out backhoe buckets. They weren't sure if they had a 16" in stock so might have to wait for that then figure out when the best time to deliver would be!

That's awesome. You're going to love it. As always, I'm jealous over the backhoe. One day I'll get one.
