class C amps

A young friend is in college, and is doing a term paper on amplifiers.

I've given him the basics about A, AB, B and the new D class operation / audio amplifiers, as well as some good reference material for him to go thru.

I've also explained about class C amps (rf) but really can't put my hands on any links to reference material. I'm poking around the ARRL website, as well as going back thru mymembership mags and other Ham stuff. I'm finding alot of comercial advertisements.. but nothing good for 'reference.

Anyone know of a good online source?

Thanks, those will be of good use.

I went home at lunch and dug back thru my school books and found about 7 good ones. Out of those 7, 2 mention class C amps, and one of them has a real good section.

Between what I have found online for him as resources.. your info, and my old books.. he should be pretty good to go.

When his professor sees the dates on some of that reference material he'll probably laugh.. might be some of the same stuff he studied out of!
