Terracing some clay/stone slopes for gardens. Leveling out some trails.
Using the claw to break things up so I can then use the scoop to move it.
At least that is the plan. Claw cost me about 50 bucks but I had some parts sitting around.
Hope it works. I am sure I will have a big learning curve.
Wish me luck.

This legit man, great idea if you don't have a backhoe. You could also swap out the claw with a bucket also, do some digging if you get a diverter or 3rd function valve. A la this:

Very cool video. Luckily, I have a mini-hoe, but I am still learning how to use it.
I think I will like the claw because it was cheap and will be easy to repair when I break it.
I built it with a shear pin just for that reason.
Also want to use it to rip out some Multiflora-Rose that seems to come in more every year.
But we finally have rain today, so that can wait. We need the rain so badly here in PA.

Good job. Could be a good back scratcher for a bear

It looks like it would be nice for tearing out roots. Maybe a little too large for that, though?

I will also have a single hook one few days - that could be better for roots.
As is, it cuts hard packed ground and clay very well. Digs out the hills. Cuts the center hump out of the road. Rips out bushes and small trees - 3” or less.
It does not like bedrock. But takes out other stones so far. Biggest so far is basket ball size. Beyond that and the PT struggles.

Even one next door to me. Using theirs convinced me to get one.

There was a guy that had a slope mower and attachments on Ebay, only about two months ago, that lives not far from you. I remembered someone telling me that there was a church around State College that had a very old diesel PT at one time. If your down my way, let me know. You can check the 1430 if ya want.

I think that is what I tried out next door.
Thanks

Looks like a makeshift trencher possibility also. Great idea.
