Steve it looks to me like you will be getting a lot of seat time before the house is actually started. Enjoy yourself and do just as you are and take lots of pictures along the way. You have a very nice start from what I can see. Good luck to you on your project.
Now see, people are always saying one has to have a big tractor to all this stuff. You've proven that's not the case. I know it too, as my Kioti is not a big tractor either and I sure do a lot of BIG things with it. Let this be a buyer's lesson. You've done a great job so far and that's a beautiful place to live. John
Thanks for the comments. Western Washington is a beautiful place to live. I get to work with small brush and I have about 4' of loamy soil with just minor rock. I lurked here for many months before registering and I enjoyed all the visuals that the project forum gave. I'm glad to give back. I will continue posting as time goes on for a couple of reasons: </pre><hr /> Everyone wants a bigger tractor, well, newbies like me anyway. Especially in the beginning because it so d### fun. But the hard part is balancing the fun factor with practicality. Bigger isn't always better for every situation. And pictures show it as no words could. </pre><hr />The other reason is what KiotiJohn pointed out. smaller units can do the lions share of what a large tractor can do. The difference is time. Time is on my side. I read every post I could about the capabilities of the different models of all brands and how big of implement they could accomodate(time). My balance ended up at a BX23. But I don't feel that I'm lacking at all in performance or power.Large equipment will be needed for some tasks. But because of this board, I had no false expectations of my BX. It does far more that I had expected. So I want to show what can be done with this size for the other guys out there and hope I can help.
