Ok, so I pull in the driveway last night and my b2150 has the hazard lights on...I'm clueless so I park the truck and go over to invetigate. It's real dark so I just start feeling around for the switch and move it to off. The lights go off but a clicking sound persists. I don't think much of it. I come out the next day and start the tractor to make sure the battery is charged. I run the machine for 10-15 minutes or so and turn it off. The clicking continues. I leave and go to coach a basketball game and come home three hours later...still clicking. What's the deal? Any help appreciated.
thanks,
Josh

Josh, can you listen/feel around and tell us where the clicking sound is coming from?It sounds electrical-if you find an electrical device, can you disconnect the wire to it?Is it a slow click or a fast click? It's not normal-give us more details!I would tend to think this may run your battery down over time.Good Luck!

My BX24 did something very similar. One night I looked out of the window and thought someone was trying to steal it. The hazards were flashing at 2 in the morning. It ended up being the switch itself. I tried turning the lights on/off, the hazard on/off and then reached under the console and wiggled some wires, once I wiggled the wires the hazards went off. Thought was good and did not disconnect that night, next morning I had a dead battery. I disconnected the switch and had the dealer replace it (under warranty) and no further issues.

It sounds like it's coming right from the console and that it may actually be the switch. If I turn the switch on and off it will turn the lights off but the clicking persists. It has warmed up and I haven't heard anything so maybe there was some moisture in there that froze or something.

Also, the hour meter is not running.

thanks for the replies guys

I had the same thing happen to my L245DT. This would always happen after a rain, so it was obvious that it was moisture related. The problem was water inside the flasher toggle switch. A quick run to the hardware store found a new toggle switch with a rubber boot for it (sold seperately) for less than $6 total. Hasn't happened since. Good luck!
