Tractor
Massey Ferguson GC1705, John Deere STX46
My new Massey Ferguson GC1705 has an hour meter but to help me keep better track of time I'd like to install or stick-on a clock of some sort. Really don't like to wear a watch while working in the messes I get into but already realize a clock on the tractor would keep me out of hot water with respect to missing lunch and supper calls.... :) Has anyone ever found a suitable "outdoor" clock to add on?

Thanks,
Jeff

I too have been looking.

The clock in the website provided by grsthegreat looks like an excellent choice. Years ago I wanted a clock for my tractor and got an electric analog Timex wristwatch at Wallymart, took off the band and stuck it on the dash with velcro. It's been doing fine for years, through rain, ice, and snow. I generally wear a wristwatch, but in the Winter I can't get to it through multiple layers of sweaters and coats.

This is the clock (watch) I velcroed onto the dash. Has held up well for years. It's easy to read, easier than looking up my sleeve.

I got a small digital clock from autozone, and mounted it up in my tractors canopy with velcro. works great for me

Thank you for the great replies. At first thought I was crazy to want a clock on the tractor but now that has subsided. I love the stainless clock and we'll be at Wally World this weekend. I'll post photos of what I end up doing! Thanks again and have a blessed weekend.

My first thought was to look for a clock in an auto parts store, but then I realized they would be meant to go in the interior, not to be exposed to the weather. You could get away with that inside a tractor cab, but it wouldn't hold up outside. That motorcycle clock posted by grsthegreat is really nice looking, but would be too big to fit on my dash without blocking something. There's limited room in between the warning lights, and that watch fits right in. I was going to use double sided tape, but realized I might need to take it off easily, so I used those little sticky backed velcro dots.
I don't think it's crazy at all to want a clock on the dash. Just about all cars and trucks have one. Frankly, I'm surprised that my Kubota, with it's "Inteli-Panel", where you cycle through varios readouts, doesn't include a clock feature that you could at least access with a push of a button. I like this better anyway, because it's always in sight, even when the tractor's not running.

Yep, the size of the SS is the only reason I can't say for sure which way ill go. It would block a large percentage of my little dash too.

I have a wrist watch just fastened onto the hand hold to the left of the seat.

I use a little cheapo like pictured.
Time and date. Battery included. Sticks on next to Steering shaft with velcro.
Less than $5
One has lasted 7 years
One on newer tractor is on 3rd year.
Both tractors open type and get very dirty.

I bought a dollar store travel alarm, removed the cover and stuck in on the dash with double back tape.
Naturally I have no access to the alarm setting but who sleeps in a tractor. LOL!
EBay search will also find tons of suitable clocks, some include voltage readings and stop watch features as well.

Does the vibration from the tractor impede the accuracy of the Timepiece?

If you're asking about the watch that's velcroed to the dash, it's been keeping excellent time for years. Like all good watches, it's shock resistant and waterproof. It takes a licking and keeps on ticking, as they say. And maybe the velcro insulates it a little.
And besides, It's a Kubota - it doesn't vibrate!

Fits in a small space.

Looking at all y'alls tractors I'd say I need to increase the size of mine so there is more space available to mount the watch/clock. :D

Our NH TL100A has clock in digital dash and the radio has same. If on Kubota I use my clock bracelet. :)
