Brandi, trust me... I work smarter, not harder...;) Or, at least I try to. I have to admit though, I do forget I have a loader at times... but not very often anymore!

The loader has gotten used several times to get the big stuff in the trailer... look at the big pieces in the last pic. They've all gotten a ride in the bucket already.:p! And, I got the bottom of the bucket polished up nice and shiny bright (bare steel, not much paint under there anymore I'll have you know!!:)) pushing the brush off of the field. I was just admiring that yesterday when the little bit of sunshine we had yesterday hit it just right while loading the stump/main trunk chunks of the walnut into the trailer.

What do you think of my $40 trailer? She's a beauty, ain't she! I don't know about Chevy trucks, but they make a darned fine trailer!:D:D:D

Looking good when u get done there come on down here and help me plow up my garden if it ever gets dry that is:) Had rain all day today. Went and picked up a set of 2 bottom breaking plows yesterday so now i have 2 sets so all you need to bring is your tractor. Will post some pictures when i get a chance to hook up to them and get some seat time.

Haha, that would be fun! My garden keeps getting a little bigger each year because when I plow it under in the fall, I just can't stop plowing. It's getting closer to being a "field" and not so much a garden anymore.

I put my Dearborn 10-1 plow ( two 14 inch bottoms) on my 3525 and even though it wasn't set up for that tractor, the 3525 had more than enough power to pull it through the ground... good test for the draft control! You could tell it was pulling hard though... It really makes a difference in having the plow set up right. I would set mine up for the Mahindra, but it's really way too much fun to plow with the 8N... Ol' Henry just lives to plow. Get the plow set up right, and the 8N will take it right on down the row... if it's not set up right, it will be a real struggle!

What kind of plows did you get? What size?

Keep your rows straight and your furrows deep! :)

here are the pictures. And if you notice the tractor is under the carport while the truck sets outside that's true love :D Also included a picture of my new to me welder. A Lincoln 10,000 ranger ac-dc with a 20hp Kohler engine and a 10,000 watt generator:D:D

Brian,
I love the trailer! Dad had a 1964 Chevy trailer. We hauled some 3,000 pound culverts on it for a short distance. They were tough back then. What year is yours?
hugs, Brandi

As best I can tell, it's a '73. That's the number on the taillight lenses anyway.

Midsouth,

Looks like you got the makin's for some good fun there!

The moldboards on your Ferguson look pretty much like my Dearborn... patched up ;). I think you can still get new parts for the Fergie's, but parts for the Dearborn plows are mostly made from Unobtainium anymore, as far as I can tell.

I haven't seen moldboards like your Dearborn has in a really long time... IIRC, those are made for really sandy soils, but I'm not sure.

Do you have the coulters for the Ferguson?

Brian,
Knowing the year comes in handy when a wheel bearing overheats and catches fire while hauling firewood. My brother and I had to replace a wheel bearing and seal on the side of I-45!
