Yeah that oil cup is a pain and mine didn't have much dust or debris either and I've gone through some pretty dusty fields with it.

I'm continuing to cut my 24 acres. I'm tackling the back half which has been neglected and is full of thick weeds and mesquite thorn brush. There is a lot of debris, mostly roof tin and appliance part that probably came from my neighbor who has used the property for many years before we bought it. I ran over big piece of lumber on Sunday. Made one of the shredder blades move up under the other. Thank God for slip clutches. Once I cleared the debris and started up the shredder again, the blade returned to its normal position. Blades are looking pretty chewed up with all the rocks I have in that field.

Hahahaha, Yep!

I NEVER broke a shear pin on my 'hog with the 8N. It just wouldn't do it... it would kill the 8N dead in it's tracks first. But this Mahindra... I've broken about 8 or 9 now so far! And it doesn't hardly grunt when it happens! :D Gotta love horsepower.

I use my 3525 w/fel mostly for dirt work and dragging logs with a boom pole and timber hooks. My hobbie is woodworking and i own a Timber King 1600 portable bandsaw mill and i like to cut my own timber to keep my hobbie affordable. I sure do get a lot of oaks, cypress, and cedar logs down here so i keep my little tractor busy i have a little over a 100 hours on it so far and it has been a real pleasure. the farmer next door borrows it alot to move hay around alot and i help him every year cut and bail hay on his land. He has an old Ford 5000 and a old John Deere 70 hp, both work good but he always complimenting me on how nice and simple the 3525 is and how well it works. He is astonished by how powerful strong the tractor is all the way around. I believe he was skeptical about Mahindra when i first brought mine home almost 2 years ago, but i am quite sure he is a well rounded fan of their tractors now and would definately purchase one if he could.

If you're taking roll call, I'm here. I have not used my 5525 w/509 Bradco BH more than maybe 1-2 hrs. I have 9 acers as our vacation, get away w/ 3bdrm log house and is a 2hr drive. During fall and winter months nothing grows and most vegetation just turns brown. I've only played with mine to get familiar with it and come spring and summer is when I'll use it most. True test will be when I tackle the alder stumps, average of 22-24 " dia. that was felled this summer.
I'd post pitures but it looks just like any other red Mahindra, but will take and post some when I get around to it.

I'm used to my wide stanced MF 165, that I still have and will keep, that is very stable. The Mahindra with the FEL and BH is more boyant and will see how it does when I remove the BH.

For now, she is tucked in a warm dry garage at the cabin, waiting to be petted and used.

I'm here too. I don't even have 2 hours on the new machine. I'll have to wait till deer season is over before I can really play with my new 5525. Going to order a Markham toothbar this week. The 5525 with FEL should do a lot more than my old Ford 860 w/ no FEL.

Cool!! Thanks for checking in!

You guys have almost got me convinced that I need a toothbar... but since I'm an incurable do-it-yourselfer, I think I'd have to build it myself, especially since I've got the equipment to do it out in the shed... Wouldn't go over too good with the wife if she found out that I farmed out some welding work after she approved my SMAW and MIG purchases a few years ago!

I've looked at the price of the tooth bars and can get one for around $325 plus ship. I'm not a welder by choice, but can if I have to. Just how much do you save by fabbing your own, counting material, cost of gas, if used and trips to some salvage yard to get the metals. I fab a lot of stuff but for fun and to test my skills. And if it does not work, in the recycle bin it goes.

That's a good question...

If someone could measure the bar that the teeth are welded to, I could probably come up with a ballpark price... I just don't know what the dimensions are on the bar itself...

Will also have to find the teeth...

Even though this is a "25" only club, me being a "30" owner will give you guys a hand.
Look here for teeth.
