Clunking noise at idlle M7040

Just to be sure, are you familiar with the issue with the M7040?

I do not have an M7040 but was responding to Deano and Gordon Gould's posts based on how Kubota has handled the issue so far. In the posts above, service people had not considered it serious. It reminded me of how a similar situation had been handled before. My post was based on that experience. It's relevance to the M7040 remains to be seen.

Yesterday when I was getting out of my M7040 after shutting engine off I inadvertainly moved steering wheel back then forth and I heard a noise that sounded very similar to the "clunking" noise.

Interesting, very intersesting. I previously had noticed I could "feel" the clunking noise while holding the power steering hydrolic line under the steering colum. I will have to try this next time I operate my tractor.
