I recently purchased a New Holland 2001 CM224 Mower. The pulley on the PTO shaft was loose and I tightened it and placed a rubber washer to keep it tighter. The problem is there is a vibration in the PTO to the engine system that makes noise and will stop and or start if you play with the throttle up and back. I cannot find the source of the noise. I have placed a wooden stick on the PTO shaft pulley, The flywheel, the intermediate shaft between the engine and the transmission and I cannot stop the issue. Is there a common bearing or shaft or ??? that wears and causes the vibration? The PTO can be engaged or not and still have the vibration.
Thanks for any help with this.
