"Finer than frog's hair"

I knew a girl who always got it wrong and said "finer than frog's legs".

Just heard a new one:

“I rather sandpaper a wildcats ass in a phone booth than __________________”
(fill in the blank with something you really don’t want to do”

Can’t say I’ve ever heard or used that one before….lol

When I moved to Texas from California in 2003, I heard "ya'll" for the first time. I think it means "you" or "everyone" or it just replaces "you know"

"Bless her heart" is pretty common. I think it means that she's an idiot, but I'm not positive.

"Out of Pocket" seems to mean you're broke, or you are paying cash, but you don't have any cash. I'm not sure on that one either.

"Southern Engineering" seems to mean somebody didn't have a clue what they were doing when they built it.

So, for I've never used any of those terms, and when I meet somebody for the first time, they ask where I'm from because I don't speak like they do.
I'll be in Tyler today for a doctors appt.

Southern Engineering is what I call "Country Job"

"Works as it should"
"Need gone"
"Down Yonder"
"Raat" (Right)

Was at a local restaurant/bar, I asked "What kind of light beers do you have"
She just looked at me and said "I'm sorry?"
I repeated myself... then a third time until I finally realized it.
"What kind of laat beer you got?"
