Ahhhh....Doc you might want to check a bit closer on scvs on Deere 5000 series tractors. Even the 5020s come without remotes as standard. While you're at it also check on the available tires on the 5005s.

Not really sure what makes a Deere made in Mexico, any better quality wise than a Mahindra built in India though.

Hey enjoy your Mahindras. This argument isn't going anywhere but bad. Have a nice night all. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I'll weigh in here to say that I looked at every tractor under the sun including green and I'm happy I bought a Mahindra. So happy I'm looking at another for small jobs. I can say that in Somerset KY (the closest JD dealer) I couldn't touch a haying tractor for the $22500 I gave for the 6000. Not only that they had no interest in taking a MF135 in on trade. Now I believe that Toyota makes the best vehicle on the road today, however I drive GM. Why? Same reason I bought a Mahindra, for the money I think they are better. If you could have both a big tractor for haying and a big down payment on another in red or just a big tractor in green would you still go green? By the way the local volunteer fire dept cheif sure was impressed with that Mahindra that moved those huge pine trees out of the way for his crew today. He figured he'd need a dozer! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Hey Doc,

No arguements here. I think everyone was just looking for these facts you were talking about is all............

I'd still like you to answer my question though about the inherent quality of JDs that are hecho-en-Mexico vs Mahindras made in India.

JD does have the best parts system available, but I ain't paying an extra $12k for it. I think it boils down to qaulity for the $. I believe that JD and Kubota could be a little more wallet friendly. It also has to do with the dealer. I would lot rather buy something from somebody that wants to sell than someone who won't even consider your trade. Deiselsmoke good to see a Toyota in your garage. That keeps my dad in work! Next time you grill make sure it's with Kingsford charcoal and my family will love you! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
