Cliff, the first problem is you don't even know if it is a boy or a girl tractor. You have to treat them differently! If it's fairly small, flip it over and look between the rear wheel, that is an easy check. Otherwise you can reach down underneath and see if you feel anything down there (keep some kleenex handy).
If it turns out to be a girl, I'd try offering some rose scented diesel, at least until she "bonds" with you.
If it's a boy, then just threaten him with a 2x4 upside the ROPS if he doen't obey.
In either case, it is easiest to get them to obey if you were around when they were born becasue when they open up their headlamps for the first time they will "imprint" your image on their memory chips and it makes them much easier to handle as they get into their teenage years.
