Working on my fathers 4500 tractor
The fuel line on top of the filter / separator ( AM879740 ) simply popped off!
The fuel line at the top of the separator has a t line that must have some kind of static fit popped out of the top of the filter.... The portion of the "T" has two grooves that go half way around that probably has / had some kind of retaining locking ring.

Obviously when this happened fuel went everywhere. Is there a fix or simply replace the entire filter separator $90?
It is the line "T" at the very top of the filter in this image found on ebay.

Any help would be appreciated.

Most likely a press fit. If you want to try to get away cheap you can try loctite and press it back in. Maybe try to expand the male end to get the tight fit again. A green loctite would probably hold for lifetime.
