Kevin - When did you make your request?? I made mine via the Internet when this thread started and haven't seen it yet. Hopefully it'll show up in the next few days. I'm feeling left out /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif. Chuck

Chuck...

You're not the only one left out. I subscribed online over two months ago, got confirmation from them that I was added to their subscribers list, and haven't seen anything yet. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif What do I have to do....subscribe repeatedly until they get the message that I really am interested in their magazine???? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Oops....I spoke too quickly. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gifJust a half hour after I originally posted this reply, my secretary dropped my copy of CE magazine into my in-box at work. I guess all of us who subscribed back in the mid-Feb time frame are just getting it about now. So....don't give up yet Chuck. Yours may be coming in the next day or so.

Bob,

I got my magazine yesterday as well. Which was good since
I was at home sick for the first part of the week. To sick
to even read TBN but I could read a magazine. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

So it was goodness that CEM showed up.

My guess is that some people are getting the magazine
based on when they signed up. I'm sure as a startup they
don't have a lot of money so they can only print a limited
number of magazines. And what they charge for Ads is based
on how many readers. I think I read this was their third issue
so I'm would think they are trying to build their subscriber
base to increase the ad rates which will allow them to print
more magazines which will allow them to charge more for the
ads, etc. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

After seeing all of the toys, errr, tools they have for skid
steers I which I had one. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Just got my CE magazine Dan. Thanks.

But one thing I'm noticing here. Do we have to return the business reply card that's in the magazine if we want to continue with the subscription or is this magazine a one time only deal? I notice on the card that they are asking if one wants to start and/or CONTINUE their free subscription. To cover the bases I think I'll just return the card. This magazine promises to be something that's chock full of good information.

BTW, hope you feel better soon. Warm weather will be back soon meaning it'll be time again to put that 4700 back to work with your land clearing projects.

Bob,

Hmm, I missed the card you mentioned. I'll have to go back
and see if I can find mine. Last Saturday was kinda wet
from Fridays rain so I'm not sure I could have worked the
4700. After the last few years of drought we are certainly
getting the rain. The lake a few miles from the property was
17 feet ABOVE normal last week. That was even higher than
when Hurricane Fran came through a few years ago.

Since last fall I've lost about 3 months worth of Saturdays
because of rain and/or being sick. A toddler sure is a good
vector for colds. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

There are some AWESOME tools in the magazine though. I
was drooling over a trench cutter and this thing that gobbled
up trees up to 4 inchs to clear paths, undergrowth, etc. I
sure wish I was rich so I could afford these tools! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yep.....I too was salivating over some products in this magazine, especially the Star Hill's Jawz Grabbing Tool on page 60. This is somewhat like a 4in1 bucket but it's hydraulics grab things on the horizontal. If I had one of these on the 4710's FEL I sure could clean up a lot of brush in no time at all. Just slide this grabbing tool under the brush, squeeze at the base, yank upward, and then transport to the burn pile. List price though on this is 3,895 /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif.....I think I'll have to settle for my 4in1 for now.
