Just on the light side, there's a company around here with an ad on the radio... something like "We support all versions of Mac, and all version of Windows except ME." Maybe Win 2000 Pro would be a good way to go if you want to avoid XP.

As to the shutting down periodically, yeah, I do that now too. Every Monday morning, I reboot the machine. Usually don't have problems unless I forgot.

I have ran just about them all, I think the first one was 3.1, if I remember right. 95, 98, ME, 2000 Pro, now XP Pro. I like the XP Pro best of them all. It takes a little getting use to, but after you do, its worth it, for lack of crashes and being stable. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
