Lordy, Lordy... throw in a few women, a little drink, a train, and we've got a hit C&W ballad!

I had a Ruger .357 that was too heavy and then I got a .40 Smith & Wesson Tacticle that I have yet to carry. I need to get into the habit because it isn't doing me any good setting at home.

I want to carry in my hip pocket.. if I don't have it with me, it's no good.
I'll use a holster to avoid printing
I want a 9mm, obviously a killer, per Virginia Tech, cheaper ammunition
I want a laser sight device, improves aim in stress situations
I want an automatic, they are thinner than revolvers
I want a 5 lb or so trigger pull, but this seems to be hard to find
I don't want to spend over $600 all totaled

They're too heavy (IMHO) for front pocket carry, but do work for hip pocket carry (but I don't care for hip pocket carry). Kahr even sells a nice holster for hip pocket carry, BTW. I've got one, but don't use it.
As far as adding a laser...I think Crimson Trace makes one for the MK9.
